Decanter World Wine Awards 2008
In the space of five years, the number of wines entered for the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards has doubled – this year there were 9219 wines. Only 64% obtained a medal. The Orpale 96 vintage was one of the 2.84% to obtain a gold medal, and the Brut Rosé and Brut 2002 vintages were among the 12.4% to obtain a silver medal. A bronze medal and a recommendation were awarded to the Brut Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru and the Brut Tradition Premier Cru respectively.
